"All One in Christ Jesus": Women in the New Creation with Dr. Liz Marvel

The witness of the New Testament reveals that the Gospel reorganizes human relationships in some far-reaching ways. In his comments on Galatians 3:28—that in Christ there is “neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female”— NT Wright suggests the Apostle Paul is proclaiming the truth that in the New Creation inaugurated by Christ’s resurrection and victory over sin and death, women are full members of the family of God. Against the backdrop of both the ancient world in which women were considered sub-human, such a declaration called for a profound shift in the status of women and a radical rethinking of their place in this New Creation.

Join All Saints Waco and Mosaic Waco as they host a seminar with Dr. Liz Marvel, Academic Director for Global Action and lecturer at Baylor University, exploring how the Gospel transformed women’s lives in the ancient world, and how this Good News can lead to a greater transformation of our own.
